ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male - Male High Quality 5.00m

ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male - Male High Quality 5.00m | A direct DVI-D connection across 5 metres

Connect two devices with DVI-D ports using the ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male - Male High Quality 5.00m. It’s a 5-metre cable with male connectors at both ends, suited to a setup where the display and source aren’t right beside each other. The DVI-D and Dual Link terms identify the connection type named in the product; the title doesn’t give a supported resolution or other performance figures, so I wouldn’t use it to promise a particular display mode. Its practical appeal is straightforward: one cable, matching DVI-D connections and enough stated length for a longer route between devices. If your current DVI-D cable is simply too short, this gives you a specific length to plan around. Measure the path you intend to use, including any turns behind furniture, before choosing it. That small step can save an awkwardly tight cable run.

Check the connection and route

This is a male-to-male DVI-D cable, so it’s intended to plug into matching female DVI-D sockets at both ends. Make sure the source and display each have that connection available; the product name alone doesn’t establish compatibility with other connector types. The 5.00-metre length gives you a clear starting point when planning the distance between them, but the route matters as well: a cable may need extra slack to reach around a desk or equipment stand. If the sockets face away from one another or sit in a cramped recess, allow for that when measuring. This is a simple detail, but it’s the one that decides whether the cable reaches comfortably or ends up pulled taut.
