ACT HDMI-A Male To DVI-D Male Adapter Cable 1 Meter

ACT HDMI-A Male To DVI-D Male Adapter Cable 1 Meter | A direct link between HDMI-A and DVI-D ports

Without the right cable, two different socket types can leave a screen and its source unable to connect directly. The ACT HDMI-A Male To DVI-D Male Adapter Cable gives you a one-metre link between an HDMI-A connection and a DVI-D connection. It suits a setup where one piece of equipment has an HDMI-A socket and the other has a DVI-D socket, and you want to join them with a single cable rather than a separate adapter and cable. The useful detail is its specific pairing: HDMI-A male at one end, DVI-D male at the other. That makes it worth considering when those are the connections you need to bridge. One metre is a short run, so it’s best suited to equipment positioned close enough for a direct connection.

Choosing the right connection

Before choosing this cable, match its two plug types to the sockets in the connection you’re making. The HDMI-A male end needs an HDMI-A socket, and the DVI-D male end needs a DVI-D socket. The names matter: a cable with a different HDMI or DVI connector isn’t the same match. Also consider where the connected equipment will sit. A one-metre cable is intended for a relatively short distance between the two devices, so it can keep a nearby connection simple without adding a separate adapter. If the ports you need to join are HDMI-A and DVI-D, this cable gives you those two ends in one product.
