ACT HDMI-A Male To DVI-D Male Adapter Cable 3 Meters

ACT HDMI-A Male To DVI-D Male Adapter Cable 3 Meters | A longer link between matching ports

It can be awkward when two pieces of equipment have different connection labels and the cable you need isn’t already to hand. This ACT adapter cable has an HDMI-A male connector at one end and a DVI-D male connector at the other, giving you a direct cable pairing between those two connector types. At 3 meters, it also gives you more room to place the connected equipment than a short lead would. It suits a setup where the required connection is specifically HDMI-A to DVI-D and the cable needs some extra reach. The practical point is simple: the two ends aren’t the same, so you can identify which side belongs at each connection. It’s a straightforward option when that exact pairing and length are what your setup calls for.

Choosing the right cable

Before choosing a cable, it helps to look at the connector names on the equipment you want to link. This one is labelled for HDMI-A on one end and DVI-D on the other; those labels are the useful detail when you’re sorting through cables that can look similar at a glance. The male connectors are intended to plug into matching ports, so the names at both ends matter. Think about the cable route, too. Three meters gives you a little more freedom to position the connected equipment, but it’s still worth considering where the cable will run so you can judge whether that length suits your arrangement. If your required connection is HDMI-A to DVI-D, this cable gives you that pairing in one lead.
