amaran Halo 60x

amaran Halo 60x | Continuous light for a visible lighting setup

Without a continuous light, you may be shaping a scene with room lighting or judging a flash-lit result after taking the shot. The amaran Halo 60x is a continuous light, so it’s for people who want ongoing illumination while they work. That makes it relevant to video recording, product scenes and portraits where seeing the light on the subject as you adjust the setup is useful. It’s also worth considering if you’re building a simple lighting setup and want a light intended for continuous use. The name identifies the model, but there’s no need to read more into it: the clear point is its role as a continuous light. If that’s the kind of lighting you’re looking for, the Halo 60x belongs on your shortlist.

Continuous lighting gives you a different way to work from a flash: the illumination is present while you compose or record, rather than appearing only for a photograph. That can make it easier to judge the scene as you arrange it, particularly when your work includes moving images. For still photography, it may suit a setup where you prefer to see the lighting on the subject before making the exposure. The honest limit is that the product name alone doesn’t tell the whole story of a lighting setup. So think first about the kind of continuous light you need, then consider this model by its stated category and name. If those match what you’re shopping for, the amaran Halo 60x is a straightforward model to investigate.
