B&W Case Type 4000 w/ TEX.166.RPD (Photo Bag); Yellow
B&W Case Type 4000 w/ TEX.166.RPD (Photo Bag); Yellow | A protective case for demanding transport
B&W Case Type 4000 w/ TEX.166.RPD (Photo Bag), in yellow, is a hard case for transporting and storing camera gear when knocks, dust or rain are part of the journey. It suits photographers and crews who need equipment protected between locations, in a vehicle or in storage, rather than a lightweight bag for quick access while shooting. The Type 4000 name and TEX.166.RPD identifier specify this version, while its yellow finish gives the case a visible presence among equipment. Its purpose is straightforward: provide a protective outer case when gear needs to travel or wait somewhere less than pristine. Consider it for moving equipment through busy work spaces or storing it where dust and weather are concerns. This is a protection-first format for people whose gear needs to cope with the knocks and conditions of getting from place to place.
Specialist Note
At a rain-splashed loading bay, the yellow Type 4000 earns its place before the equipment even moves: it’s easier to pick out among cases, and its hard-case format is intended for gear facing knocks, dust or rain. I’d point a location photographer or a small production crew toward it for moving equipment between a vehicle and a work site, or for keeping it stored in a dusty workspace. Treat it as the protective outer case, and choose it when shielding gear matters more than quick access from an open bag. The TEX.166.RPD code identifies this version; the practical decision is whether this protection-led format suits your routine.
