Canon Lens Hood ET-155B
Canon Lens Hood ET-155B | Shade the lens from stray light
Shading a lens from light arriving just outside the frame can help keep unwanted flare from distracting from the subject. The Canon Lens Hood ET-155B is a lens hood for photographers who need this specific Canon accessory designation. Its role is straightforward: provide a physical shade at the front of a lens, rather than relying on a hand to block light. That can be helpful when working outdoors in bright conditions or near a strong light source, where stray light may affect the image. It’s also a simple accessory to consider when you’re replacing a hood identified as ET-155B. The title alone doesn’t identify the lens it fits, so the model code is the key detail to match against the hood you need. If you’re searching by that exact code, this listing gives you a clearly named option without guessing from appearance.
Specialist Note
The ET-155B gives you a dedicated way to shade a lens, instead of having to use your hand as a makeshift flag. The Canon name and the ET-155B code are the two details I’d use to identify this particular hood; the code matters when you’re trying to find the same model again. It suits someone who already knows this is the designation they need. For outdoor portraits, or when a bright light sits just beyond the frame, a hood can help keep stray light off the lens: position yourself so the light is outside the picture, then let the hood shade the front. I’d stick to matching the exact model code, rather than choosing by looks alone.
