Carry Speed Mogocrane Belt Kit
Carry Speed Mogocrane Belt Kit: Shift stabilizer weight onto your hips
Keep filming with a gimbal or monopod while shifting its support from your arms to your hips. The Carry Speed Mogocrane Belt Kit is a waist-worn support belt with an adjustable fit and an aluminium holder for the foot of your stabilizer or monopod. That combination is useful for longer video takes, when holding the full setup in your arms can become tiring, and for monopod-supported filming where you want a place to rest its foot. The holder allows 360° movement, so you can turn the gimbal or monopod while it remains supported at your waist. Adjust the belt to your body, then use the holder as a support point rather than carrying the setup’s full weight in your hands. It’s a straightforward accessory for videographers who work with stabilizers or monopods and want hip support without giving up freedom to move the rig.
Waist support and movement
- Weight rests at the hips: The belt transfers support for the gimbal or monopod from your arms to your waist. That can reduce arm fatigue during extended filming.
- Adjustable waist belt: The fit can be changed to suit your body. This helps keep the support point positioned around your waist as you work.
- Aluminium holder: A dedicated holder provides a place for the foot of a gimbal or monopod to rest. It keeps the rig supported at the belt rather than relying entirely on your arms.
- 360° movement: The supported gimbal or monopod can turn through a full circle. You can change the direction of your framing while keeping the foot in the holder.
- For gimbals and monopods: Use the belt with either kind of support gear. It’s intended for stabilizer setups as well as monopod-based filming.
Specialist Note
The Mogocrane moves the support point for a gimbal off your arms and onto your hips, which is the job it does better than simply gripping the rig for a long take. I like that the aluminium holder gives the gimbal or monopod’s foot a defined resting place, while its 360° movement keeps you free to turn and follow action. Wear the adjustable belt for gimbal video work where your arms tire from holding the setup, or use it with a monopod when you need support but still want to change your direction of view. It’s specifically for gimbals and monopods, not a general camera-carrying belt.
