Caruba BlackRapid Tripod Jacket
Caruba BlackRapid Tripod Jacket | A protective layer inside your bag
Its pouch-style design is the defining choice: the Caruba BlackRapid Tripod Jacket is made to protect gear from scratches and bumps while it travels inside a larger bag. That’s where this case is most useful—keeping gear better protected when it’s packed alongside other items, rather than serving as a bag for carrying everything on its own. It suits photographers who want a simple layer of protection for their kit during everyday transport or when packing for a shoot. There’s no need to make it more complicated than that: this is a protective pouch with a clear job. If your gear is already travelling in a larger bag, the Jacket adds a dedicated barrier against the knocks and scuffs that can happen when items move around together.
Specialist Note
Photographers heading out to shoot on location with gear packed together in a larger bag are the people I’d point towards this pouch. I like the straightforward purpose: it’s a protective case, so you can give gear its own layer instead of letting it rub directly against other items. Use it when packing for a shoot, and keep the protected item inside the larger bag for transport; that’s the setting this product is intended for. It’s aimed at preventing scratches and bumps, not replacing a larger carrying bag or providing a broader carrying system. A simple, focused bit of protection.
