Caruba USB 2.0 | A Male-Mini Male 8-PIN 0.3 Meter

Caruba USB 2.0 | A short cable for a close connection

A short cable run keeps a connected setup close at hand. The Caruba USB 2.0 cable is 0.3 metres long, with an A male connector at one end and a Mini male 8-pin connector at the other. It’s suited to a setup that needs those two specific plugs and doesn’t call for a longer lead. The USB 2.0 designation is part of the cable’s stated format; the title doesn’t identify a particular camera or other device, so I’d choose it by matching the connector types your equipment needs. Its compact length is the practical point here: it gives you a direct connection without a long stretch of cable to manage. If your equipment needs different plugs or more reach, this isn’t the cable to choose. A simple detail, but an important one when you’re matching accessories to a setup.

Choosing the right cable

Start by looking at the ports on the two devices you want to connect, then match each end to the plug it needs. The connector names matter more than a product’s general category: a cable described as USB 2.0 can still be the wrong fit if one end doesn’t match your port. Also think about where the devices will sit in relation to each other. At 0.3 metres, this cable is intended for a close connection, rather than a run across a desk or between equipment placed farther apart. That’s a useful distinction to settle before adding a cable to your kit.

For a tidy, nearby connection, the short length may suit your arrangement well. Take a moment to compare both connector types and the space between the devices; that’s the clearest way to judge whether this particular cable suits the job. The description is deliberately specific, so you can make that choice based on the plugs and length rather than assumptions about which equipment it supports.
