Cokin NX Series CPL Filter
Cokin NX Series CPL Filter | Control reflections and deepen skies
Cokin NX Series CPL Filter is a CPL, or circular polarising filter, for photographers who want more control over reflections and the look of the sky. It suits landscape, travel and outdoor photography, especially scenes with water, glass or bright skies. A polarising filter can reduce reflected glare and deepen blue skies, helping clouds and other details read more clearly in the frame. Its effect depends on the angle of the light and the filter’s position, so it’s something to adjust while composing rather than a fixed look you get in every shot. This filter is best when reflections are part of the scene but are obscuring what you want to show. It can also help add definition to outdoor images on bright days. The Cokin NX Series name identifies the product, but the available product details don’t establish a filter diameter or mounting compatibility, so we’ve kept the description to what’s confirmed.
Specialist Note
Photographers framing coastlines, lakes or shopfronts will get the most from this Cokin CPL. The “CPL” designation tells you its job: managing polarised reflections, so try turning the filter as you watch the view and stop where glare is reduced without losing the feel of the scene. For a lake, that can bring more of the water’s surface detail into view; for a blue sky, it can give clouds more separation. The NX Series label is useful when identifying the filter, but I wouldn’t assume a fit from the name alone. It’s a purpose-specific tool: less helpful when reflections are exactly what you want to keep.
