DZOFILM Pavo 2x Anamorphic 6 Lens Set T2.1 Neutral Coating PL/EF Mount Feet
DZOFILM Pavo 2x Anamorphic 6 Lens Set T2.1 Neutral Coating PL/EF Mount Feet | Six-lens anamorphic kit for cinema production
Without an anamorphic set, a crew may create a widescreen frame by cropping spherical footage; the DZOFILM Pavo 2x Anamorphic 6 Lens Set gives cinema productions an anamorphic route from capture. It brings six lenses together with a neutral coating, and is aimed at cinematographers and production teams building an anamorphic package for narrative work, commercials or music videos. The PL/EF mount options suit crews working within those mount choices, while the feet scale is intended for focus distances read in feet. Its strongest fit is a production that wants to compose for a widescreen anamorphic image on set, rather than decide the shape of the frame later. It’s a specialist cinema set, best considered as a planned lens package rather than a general-purpose stills kit.
Specialist Note
For a 2x anamorphic dialogue setup, I’d frame close-ups with the intended widescreen composition in mind from the start. The squeeze affects how you judge the image, so I’d want monitoring set to show the de-squeezed view before fine-tuning actors’ positions or the edges of the frame. T2.1 gives you room to open up when the scene is dim; if there’s enough light, stopping down can give you more exposure flexibility. I see this set suiting crews planning narrative scenes or carefully composed music-video shots. One practical point: anamorphic framing needs a little more attention during setup than simply judging a squeezed preview.
