Epson Lens - ELPLL08 - Long Throw - G7000/L1000 Series
Epson Lens - ELPLL08 - Long Throw - G7000/L1000 Series | Project from farther back
A projector can sit farther from the screen while still serving a long-throw room layout. The Epson ELPLL08 is a projection lens for the G7000/L1000 Series, intended for setups where the projector needs to be positioned well back from the screen. That makes it relevant for fixed installations in larger meeting rooms, classrooms or venues, where placing a projector close to the screen isn't practical. The lens gives you another way to plan the projection position around the room rather than designing the room around a short projection distance. It’s a specialist part for people specifying or maintaining a compatible Epson installation, not a general-purpose accessory for any projector. If you’re planning a new setup, start by working out where the projector can be mounted and how far that is from the screen; the long-throw design is useful when that distance is the key constraint.
Specialist Note
First-time long-throw lens buyers often focus on the projector and leave the room distance until later; the ELPLL08 is meant to help when the projector has to sit farther back. Its long-throw design matters in a fixed room where a nearer mounting position isn’t available, so plan the projector location from the screen and seating layout first. This lens is for the Epson G7000/L1000 Series, which makes it relevant when you’re building around one of those projectors or maintaining an installation using that series. For a meeting room, for example, it can suit a rear-mounted position aimed at the main screen. The trade-off is that a long-throw setup needs enough room depth; it won’t solve a space where the projector must sit close to the screen.
