FlatHat 16inch (40cm) Drone Pad + Lighting Kit Green
FlatHat 16inch (40cm) Drone Pad + Lighting Kit Green | A clear landing point
Give your drone a defined place to take off and land, and a clear target to bring back into frame. The FlatHat 16inch (40cm) Drone Pad + Lighting Kit Green is a compact-format landing pad for drone pilots who want a recognisable spot on the ground. Its 40cm size gives you a set area to aim for, while the green finish helps distinguish the pad from the surrounding ground. The included lighting kit makes this a relevant option when you want the landing point to be easier to pick out as daylight fades. It suits pilots who value a consistent launch and landing location, whether they’re setting up in an open field or choosing a marked spot for repeated flights. Keep the area around it clear, and you’ve got a straightforward visual reference for your return.
A marked landing point can be especially handy when you’re flying in a place with several possible places to set down. Put the pad on a clear, level patch before launch, then use that same spot as your visual reference when bringing the drone back. It’s a simple way to make your intended landing area obvious to you, rather than relying on a patch of ground that looks much like the rest. The pad’s size gives you a specific target to work with; it doesn’t replace careful piloting or a suitable landing area.
Specialist Note
The green surface gives the landing point a distinct look against many ordinary outdoor settings, so it’s easier to keep your eye on the spot you chose. At 40cm across, this is a defined target rather than a large landing zone; I’d set it down with plenty of clear space around it and use it as a visual guide on your approach. The lighting kit is a useful part of the package if your flights run into softer evening light, when a ground marker can be harder to pick out. It’ll suit pilots who want a repeatable launch point and a clearer landing reference, with the sensible caveat that you still need to judge the landing area and your approach yourself.
