Godox Wec TX Clip-On Wireless Microphone Transmitter (2.4 GHz)
Godox Wec TX Clip-On Wireless Microphone Transmitter (2.4 GHz) | Send spoken audio wirelessly
Its 2.4 GHz operating frequency is the defining detail of the Godox Wec TX: it’s a clip-on wireless microphone transmitter for sending spoken audio as part of a wireless recording setup. It’s aimed at video creators, presenters and interviewers who want to record speech without keeping the speaker tethered to the recording position by a cable. Think presenter videos, instruction clips or a conversation recorded on camera. The transmitter’s job is to send audio; it isn’t a complete recording system by itself, so it needs to work with a suitable receiving setup. The frequency is useful when choosing that receiver, but sharing a frequency alone doesn’t establish compatibility. If you’re planning a setup around this transmitter, match it with equipment intended to work with the Wec TX rather than relying on “2.4 GHz” as the only guide.
Specialist Note
The Godox Wec TX is for putting a wireless microphone transmitter on the speaker, rather than keeping the transmitter beside the camera. That clip-on format makes sense for a presenter recording a piece to camera or for an interview where the speaker needs to move naturally. I’d keep the unit attached to the person speaking and make sure the receiving side is part of a compatible setup; the Wec TX sends the audio, but it isn’t a standalone recorder. Its 2.4 GHz frequency gives you a clear detail to match when planning the system, though frequency by itself doesn’t guarantee that another receiver will pair with it. It’s a focused transmitter, not an all-in-one audio kit.
