GREEN.L MC-UV 46mm
GREEN.L MC-UV 46mm | Simple ultraviolet filtration for outdoor scenes
For filtering ultraviolet light in outdoor photography, the GREEN.L MC-UV 46mm is a straightforward filter with a 46mm diameter. It suits photographers whose lens has a matching filter thread and who want UV filtration without choosing a filter for a different purpose. You can use it when photographing landscapes, buildings or everyday scenes outdoors; its role is specifically to filter ultraviolet light, rather than to control reflections or change exposure. The key practical detail is the diameter: a filter needs to match the lens thread to fit. This is a simple option if that size is right for your lens and UV filtration is what you want. There are no extra functions implied by the name, so it’s best considered for that specific job rather than as an all-purpose effect filter.
Specialist Note
A mismatch between filter and lens thread can turn a simple purchase into a frustrating one; this model is for lenses with a 46mm thread. The MC-UV name also tells you its purpose: UV filtration. That makes it relevant when you’re photographing outdoor scenes and specifically want a UV filter on the lens, rather than a filter for reflections or another visual effect. I’d keep the decision simple: match the thread size, then choose it for that defined use. It won’t replace a different type of filter when you want to alter reflections or exposure, so it suits someone who knows UV filtration is the job they need.
