H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 82mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 82mm | Create longer exposures in bright light
Moving water can take on a softer look, and passing clouds can leave a sense of motion in a still image. The H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND1000 Filter Kit 82mm is made for photographers who want to use a slower shutter speed in bright conditions. Its IRND1000 designation points to strong light reduction, letting you extend exposure time when daylight would otherwise call for a faster shutter. That makes it relevant for landscape work, flowing water and other scenes where you want movement to register in the frame. It can also help when you want to work with a wider aperture in bright light. The 82mm size is intended for lenses with a matching filter thread, so it’s worth checking the size marked on your lens. If you often make deliberate long exposures, this kit gives you a way to shape how motion appears without relying on a change in weather or fading daylight.
Specialist Note
82mm is the filter size, so in practice this suits a lens with an 82mm front filter thread; it won’t fit every lens you own. The IRND1000 designation is the key to its purpose: substantial light reduction for slower shutter speeds in daylight. For softened moving water, keep the camera steady and lengthen the exposure until the flow takes on the look you want. It can also give you more room to use a wider aperture in a bright scene. I’d point this kit toward landscape photographers and anyone who enjoys making motion part of the image. With a strong ND filter, composing and focusing may take more care once it’s in place.
