H&Y RevoRing Variable ND ND3-1000 Filter 58-77mm
H&Y RevoRing Variable ND ND3-1000 Filter 58-77mm | Flexible light reduction
Bright daylight can leave you choosing between the aperture you want and a shutter speed that’s too fast for the effect you’re after. The H&Y RevoRing Variable ND ND3-1000 Filter gives you adjustable light reduction, so you can manage the light reaching your camera without changing those creative choices straight away. It suits photographers and filmmakers who work in changing light and want a variable ND filter covering the stated 58-77mm size range. That makes the size particularly relevant if you use lenses with filter threads within that span. Its ND3-1000 designation describes the range offered by this filter; the variable design lets you adjust the amount of reduction to suit the scene. It’s a practical option for daylight video, long-exposure effects, or keeping a wider aperture outdoors. The key is to adjust the filter as conditions change rather than treating one setting as right for every shot.
Specialist Note
At a 58mm filter thread, this RevoRing’s stated 58-77mm range is worth considering if your kit includes lenses at different sizes within that span. The variable ND3-1000 designation is the other detail I’d focus on: you can adjust light reduction as the scene changes, instead of settling for one fixed ND strength. For flowing water in daylight, increase the reduction until you can use a slower shutter speed for the movement you want. For outdoor video, adjust it to help keep your chosen aperture and shutter speed. It suits people who need that flexibility across the day. One sensible caution: take care as you adjust a variable ND, so you can judge the image rather than assume one setting will suit every scene.
