Hahnemühle DFA Photo Rag 308GSM 43.2cmx12m

Hahnemühle DFA Photo Rag 308GSM 43.2cmx12m | A roll format for planned photo printing

For making photographic prints in a roll-based workflow, the Hahnemühle DFA Photo Rag gives you a paper roll with a 308 gsm weight, measuring 43.2 cm wide and 12 m long. It suits photographers and printmakers who want to plan a run of images from a continuous length rather than work from individual sheets. The dimensions give you room to set print lengths to suit each image, while the stated width provides a clear boundary for your layout. That makes it a practical format to consider for a series of prints, or for images whose final size you want to decide as you go. The honest appeal is its straightforward, substantial paper specification and roll format. If your work calls for photographic paper in this width, this is a specific option to assess against your printer and the sizes you intend to produce.

Think through the finished print before you start: decide how much of the image should remain visible, whether the composition needs cropping, and what margin you want around it. Those choices affect how much paper each print uses and how you arrange a series. A roll gives you flexibility over print length, but it’s still worth planning the sequence so you can make sensible use of the material. For a run of different images, note each intended print size first; for repeated prints, keep the layout consistent. The product name gives the key measurements to work from, so compare those with the space your prints need and the roll format your printing setup accepts. It’s a simple way to avoid choosing paper by weight alone when width and working length matter just as much to the job.
