Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic 17''ROLL 12 M

Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic 17'' Roll 12 m | Plan prints around a 12-metre roll

Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic 17'' Roll 12 m is metallic photo paper in a 17-inch-wide, 12-metre roll. It’s for photographers and print studios choosing a particular paper by name and working with roll stock. The title gives you the main points to plan around: the Photo Rag Metallic designation, the 17-inch width and the 12-metre length. I’d consider it when the metallic paper is part of the print brief, rather than selecting paper on width alone. The fixed roll format gives you a clear starting point for planning a job: you know the paper’s width and the total length available. That’s useful when you’re deciding how much stock to set aside for a project. The appeal here is specific and practical: a named Hahnemühle paper in a defined roll size, rather than an unspecified paper format.

For a planned print run, begin with the width your layouts call for, then estimate how much paper the job will use. The 12-metre length gives you a concrete amount to allocate; allow for your own layout and trimming needs when working out how many prints to schedule. That estimate will depend on the work you’re producing, so there’s no single print count to assume from the roll length alone. If you’re comparing paper options, keep the exact product name with your job notes. It makes it easier to return to the same named stock when planning another run. My honest take: this is a focused purchase for a workflow that already calls for Photo Rag Metallic in a roll, not a general paper pick for every print job.
