Hama Grey Filter-Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 67 mm w/ Filtertas
Hama Grey Filter-Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 67 mm w/ Filtertas | Choose the right light reduction
The useful distinction in this Hama grey-filter set is the choice of three fixed levels of light reduction, so you can match the filter to the effect you want. It suits landscape photographers who want to soften moving water, and anyone photographing streets or buildings who’d like movement to register as a gentle blur. An ND filter cuts the light entering the lens without changing the scene itself. That gives you more room to use a slower shutter speed in daylight, or a wider aperture when you want a shallower depth of field. The different strengths make it easier to choose a measured effect or a much longer exposure, depending on the light and your subject. This set is a practical fit for photographers with a 67 mm filter thread who want those options together, with a filter pouch for keeping the filters in one place.
Specialist Note
8 means the ND8 passes one eighth of the light, so a 1/125-second exposure can become roughly 1/15 second at the same aperture and ISO. The ND64 and ND1000 let you go much further when you want water or passing clouds to blur; with ND1000, that same starting exposure works out at about 8 seconds. I’d suggest this set to someone who enjoys shaping motion in landscapes or city scenes and has a lens with a 67 mm filter thread. One honest point: ND1000 is very dark, so compose and focus before fitting it. The pouch gives you a straightforward place to keep the three filters together.
