Hama Network Cable CAT-6 F/UTP Afgeschermd 1.50 M

Hama CAT-6 F/UTP Shielded Network Cable 1.50 m | A short, shielded link for network connections

Without a dedicated network lead, connecting nearby equipment can mean relying on a longer cable that has to be routed or coiled out of the way. This Hama cable is a straightforward option when you need a short wired network connection. It’s a CAT-6 cable with F/UTP shielding, and its 1.50 m length suits a run where the connected points are close together. The grey finish is easy to distinguish from other cables if you’re sorting a group of leads. Its strongest use is simple: making a wired connection over a short distance, without a surplus length to manage. Before choosing it, think about the actual path the cable will take; a route around furniture or along a wall can need more length than the gap between two devices suggests. It’s a practical detail, but it can save an awkwardly taut cable.

Planning the connection

For a neat setup, consider where the cable needs to go, not just where each device sits. A connection behind a desk, for example, may need to pass around a leg or follow an edge rather than run straight across. Leave enough room for the cable to reach its sockets without pulling at either end. That’s especially worth doing when the equipment is tucked away and harder to move once everything is connected.

This is a network cable, so its role is to make a wired network connection. The CAT-6 and F/UTP designation identify the cable type and shielding stated in the product name; they’re useful details to match against the requirements of your setup. No extra functions need to be assumed: choose it for the connection you need and the distance you’ve measured.
