Hama Network Cable CAT5e UTP 5m 25st

Hama Network Cable CAT5e UTP 5m 25st | A wired network connection with five metres of reach

For a wired network connection across a room or along a desk, a cable gives you a direct route between network equipment. The Hama Network Cable CAT5e UTP 5m 25st is a five-metre network cable, identified as CAT5e and UTP. It suits anyone who needs a cable run of that length and wants a straightforward wired link rather than a wireless one. The title also identifies the item as 25st. That makes the quantity designation part of the product name; it’s worth keeping in mind when you’re comparing listings. The cable’s purpose is simple: provide a physical connection for network use. No camera-specific role is implied here. If you’re working out whether it suits a particular setup, the useful starting points are the stated cable type and length, matched against the route and connection you need.

Planning the cable run

Measure the route the cable needs to follow, rather than estimating from the straight-line distance between two points. Allow for the path around furniture or along a wall, and think about where the cable will enter and leave the area. A little planning makes it easier to see whether this length suits your setup before you begin arranging the run. Keep the route clear of places where people regularly walk, and avoid pulling the cable tight around corners. Those are practical points for any network cable, not special features of this Hama model. The honest limit of the information here is that the product name gives the cable type and length, but doesn’t identify the equipment or connection points it will be used with. Use those details to judge the fit for your own network.
