Hawke RD Endurance 1x30 3 MOA Green-Dot

Hawke RD Endurance 1x30 3 MOA Green-Dot | A clear aiming point with a green dot

For keeping an aiming point easy to pick out, the Hawke RD Endurance 1x30 3 MOA Green-Dot is a green-dot sight with 1x magnification and a 3 MOA dot. Its straightforward appeal is right there in the name: a single green aiming point, without magnification. That makes it worth considering if you’re specifically looking for a 1x sight with a green dot rather than a magnified view. The 3 MOA figure gives you a concrete way to compare dot size with other sights; it’s a measurement, not a promise about how the sight will look in every situation. One practical note: the product name includes “1x30”, but it doesn’t explain what the 30 refers to, so I’ve left that number as part of the model name rather than assigning it a meaning. If green-dot colour, 1x magnification and a 3 MOA dot match what you’re after, this Hawke model gives you those key details at a glance.

Understanding the 1x and 3 MOA markings

In an optic’s name, 1x denotes one-times magnification: the view isn’t enlarged. MOA is an angular measurement. A 3 MOA dot covers roughly 3 inches at 100 yards, with its apparent coverage changing with distance. That gives the dot-size figure some useful context when you’re comparing models or thinking about how much of a target a dot may cover. The green colour is another specific point to weigh up; this is the green-dot version, as named, rather than a red-dot model. Those are the details the title makes clear, and they’re a sensible starting point when narrowing down a sight by magnification, dot size and dot colour. The name also identifies the RD Endurance range, so you can distinguish this model from other Hawke products when searching.
