Hawke RS Vantage IR 2-7x32 AO 1 IR

Hawke RS Vantage IR 2-7x32 AO 1 IR | Choose your viewing power

It can be hard to choose a telescope when you want some flexibility in magnification without stepping up to a much wider range. The Hawke RS Vantage IR 2-7x32 AO 1 IR gives you a variable 2-7x range, so you can move between lower and higher magnification as your viewing needs change. That makes the range itself the key reason to consider this model: it gives you more than one fixed magnification to work with. The title also identifies it as an AO and IR version, with “1 IR” included in the model designation. If those identifiers match the model you’re looking for, this is a straightforward name to check against your shortlist. I’d focus first on whether 2-7x covers the magnification you actually need; the model name gives you that concrete starting point.

Choosing the 2-7x range

Magnification changes how large a subject appears through the telescope. At 2x, the view is less magnified than at 7x; moving through the range lets you adjust that view rather than commit to one fixed power. Think about the kinds of distances and subjects you normally view, then consider whether the 2x and 7x ends make sense for those situations. A range is handy when one setting won’t suit every moment, but the numbers matter more than a general promise of flexibility. The 32 figure, AO and 1 IR are also part of this model’s name, so keep the full designation together when comparing listings. This is a specific Hawke RS Vantage IR variant, not just a general reference to the Vantage line.
