Ilford Delta 100 Prof 10.2 X 12.7cm (4x5)

Ilford Delta 100 Prof 10.2 X 12.7cm (4x5) | A clearly identified 4x5 film

Without a clearly named film and format, restocking for a planned 4x5 project can mean digging through notes or trying to remember what you used. This is Ilford Delta 100 Prof, identified by its 10.2 x 12.7 cm (4x5) size. It suits photographers whose work calls for this specific film and format, particularly when they’re keeping materials consistent across a project. The practical reason to choose it is simple: the name and dimensions give you clear details to match against your project plan. It’s a considered restock for a defined setup, rather than a general-purpose recommendation. If you’re buying for a one-off project, compare the product name with your notes before placing the order. That small check can help avoid bringing home a different stock than the one your plan calls for.

Keep the product details with your project notes

For repeat work, record the full product name in the same place as your film choices and other project details. That makes it easier to reorder the same named product later, and gives anyone sharing the work a clear reference. A shortened note such as “Delta” may be less helpful when you return to a project after some time; keeping “Ilford Delta 100 Prof” intact makes the identification more precise. The format is also part of the product title, so it’s worth retaining when you save the item in a list or shopping record. This is a straightforward film purchase: the key is matching the named product to what your work specifies, rather than choosing by a broad description alone.
