Ilford Matt Cotton Medina 320GSM 17" 43.2cmx15m 1ROLL

Ilford Matt Cotton Medina 320GSM 17" 43.2cmx15m 1ROLL | Matte cotton paper for photo prints

Your photographs will have a matte finish on cotton paper, for a presentation that keeps away from a glossy look. Ilford Matt Cotton Medina is photo paper in roll form, suited to photographers and printmakers who have a particular finish in mind and want to work from a roll rather than individual sheets. The 320 gsm weight gives you a clear figure to compare when choosing paper for your print workflow. Its 17-inch width is relevant if you’re planning prints within that size, and the 15-metre length lets you plan a run of images from one roll. It’s a specific paper choice, not a claim that one surface suits every image. If you know you want matte cotton paper, the name and figures here give you a straightforward basis for deciding whether this is the format you need.

Working with this roll

Before you print, think about the finished image rather than just the paper you have on hand. Decide which photographs you want to make, what dimensions they need to be, and how you’ll use the prints. That makes it easier to judge whether a roll is a sensible fit for your planned work. For a small selection of photographs, you may want to arrange a proofing step before committing to a full print run; for a set of images, plan the sequence and sizes first so you can work consistently. These are practical decisions to make with any photo paper, and they matter especially when you’re choosing a particular surface and paper weight. The honest point is simple: the name tells you the finish and material, but your intended image and print dimensions should guide the final choice.
