The Kase Revolution Plus Black Mist 1/4 77mm is a magnetic diffusion filter with a subtle 1/4-strength effect. Its diffusing pattern spreads bright highlights while retaining contrast in darker tones, so the image keeps definition rather than turning uniformly soft. The effect depends on the light: it’s restrained in evenly lit scenes and becomes more apparent as stronger light sources enter the frame. That makes it useful for portraits and model photography, where a softer rendering can flatter the subject, as well as landscapes and nature scenes where a little glow adds atmosphere. The filter comes with a universal Revolution magnetic inlaid ring for mounting and removal. Choose this 1/4 grade when you want a gentler treatment than the stronger 1/2 option.
