Kondor Blue KB-NR-2 Monitor Cage NATO Rails Anti-Twist 2" Space Grey
Kondor Blue KB-NR-2 Monitor Cage NATO Rails Anti-Twist 2″ Space Grey | A steadier rail-based monitor setup
When a monitor needs to become part of a camera rig, a cage gives you a dedicated structure to work around. The Kondor Blue KB-NR-2 is a monitor cage with NATO rails and an anti-twist design, intended for rig setups where a secure, organised mounting point matters. Its rail-based format suits operators building a monitor position into a working setup, while the anti-twist feature addresses unwanted rotation at the connection. The Space Grey finish gives the cage a subdued look alongside other rig components. This is a focused accessory rather than a general-purpose case: its job is to support a monitor in a rig configuration. The 2-inch designation is part of the product name. If your setup is built around NATO rails and you want the monitor to sit as a deliberate part of that arrangement, this is the detail-led kind of accessory worth considering.

Where it fits in a rig
A monitor cage is most useful when the monitor has a regular place in your working setup, rather than being handled separately. The KB-NR-2’s NATO rails make the rail-based approach central to its design, so it’s best considered as part of a rig planned around that mounting style. Keep the setup straightforward: position the monitor where you need to view it, then use the cage’s anti-twist feature to help resist unwanted turning.
Specialist Note
The anti-twist design is a practical detail if your monitor gets adjusted during a shot: it’s there to help resist the cage turning as you work. The NATO rails give this model a clear role in a rail-based rig, rather than making it a general monitor accessory. I’d point it towards camera operators who want a monitor held as part of their rig for framing or checking a shot, and who are already building around NATO rails. Keep the monitor position where it’s easy to view, then rely on the anti-twist feature to help it stay oriented as you make adjustments. It’s a specialised option, so the rail-based setup is the key consideration.
