Kondor Blue KB_BP501_FBM 15mm LWS Arri/501 Side Loading Baseplate

Kondor Blue KB_BP501_FBM 15mm LWS Arri/501 Side Loading Baseplate | A baseplate for 15mm LWS and Arri/501 setups

Its defining detail is the combination in its name: this Kondor Blue baseplate is side loading and identifies both 15mm LWS and Arri/501. That makes it relevant to camera operators building a setup around those stated standards, especially when choosing a baseplate is part of matching the support hardware already in their kit. A baseplate is a foundational piece of a camera build, so getting the intended format right matters more than a broad list of claims. This model gives you a clearly named starting point for a 15mm LWS Arri/501 setup. The side-loading design is another specific point to consider when comparing baseplates for your rig. It’s a focused piece of camera support hardware, rather than an accessory whose purpose is left vague. If those formats are what your build calls for, the product name makes its intended role easy to identify.

Choosing this baseplate

When you’re narrowing down camera rig accessories, start with the terms that need to match your setup. Here, those are 15mm LWS and Arri/501, along with the side-loading arrangement. The name is useful because it puts these details together, without suggesting that the baseplate is intended for other systems. Think of it as a format-specific option: its appeal is the stated combination, not an assortment of extra functions. If you’re comparing products, use those exact terms to guide your selection. That’s the honest way to assess this item from the information available: it’s a side-loading baseplate named for 15mm LWS and Arri/501. No more needs to be assumed.
