Kondor Blue KB_ZCAM_BASERIG_BK E2 Flagship-Basis-Rig M4/S6/F6/F8 Raven Black
Kondor Blue KB_ZCAM_BASERIG_BK E2 Flagship Base Rig M4/S6/F6/F8 Raven Black | A clear starting point for your camera rig
The base-rig format is the defining decision here: it gives a camera build a clear starting point, rather than presenting itself as a finished, all-in-one setup. This Kondor Blue rig is named for the E2 and the M4, S6, F6 and F8 systems, so it’s aimed at people building around one of those camera systems. That makes it relevant to filmmakers who want to plan a rig around their own way of working, rather than choose a complete package with parts they may not need. Raven Black gives the rig a restrained look that won’t draw attention away from the camera. Its best use is as the foundation of a considered camera setup: decide what your shoot calls for, then build around that starting point. If you’re after a ready-to-use complete rig, this base-rig format may not be what you have in mind.
Specialist Note
Planning starts with one useful decision: which of the named systems—M4, S6, F6 or F8—is at the centre of your build. I’d use that as the anchor for an interview setup, or for a tabletop filming arrangement where you want to keep the camera build focused on the job. The base-rig designation is the point here: it gives you a starting place, while leaving the rest of the setup to your needs. Raven Black is a low-key finish, so it suits a rig where you’d rather keep the visual attention on the camera and subject. My one caveat: think of it as a base, not a complete ready-to-shoot package.
