Marumi Protect Filter Super DHG 62 mm

Marumi Protect Filter Super DHG 62 mm | Keep your lens’s front element protected

The defining choice is the 62 mm filter size: it lets you match the filter to a lens that takes this size, without adding a different filter diameter to your kit. The Marumi Protect Filter Super DHG is a protection filter for photographers who want a layer in front of the lens’s front element during everyday use. Leave it in place while carrying your camera or packing it away, and the filter is the surface you’ll handle first when dust or fingerprints need attention. That’s useful if you’d rather keep routine contact away from the lens itself. The black colour gives it a discreet look on the front of your setup. This is a straightforward protective accessory, not a creative-effects filter: its purpose is to provide a sacrificial surface, rather than change the look of your photographs.

Everyday use

Keeping a protection filter fitted can make the front of a lens less exposed to routine handling. If the filter gets dusty or marked, clean that surface carefully; it’s still an optical surface in front of your lens. You can take it off when you want direct access to the lens for cleaning. A lens cap remains useful for storage and transport, so think of the filter as an extra layer in normal use rather than a replacement for the cap.
