Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter 72 mm
Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter 72 mm | Control reflections in bright light
Without a polarising filter, reflections from water, glass and shiny leaves can compete with the subject in your frame. The Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter is a circular polarising filter for photographers who want more control over those reflections and the look of a bright sky. Rotate it while viewing the scene to find the effect: glare can ease, and blue skies may appear deeper when the light is at a suitable angle. That makes it useful for landscapes, travel scenes and photographs through shop or car windows. It’s a hands-on adjustment, not an automatic fix; the result changes with the light and your shooting angle. Use it when reflections are getting in the way, rather than leaving it on by default. In low light, removing the filter may be the better call so you can keep a faster shutter speed.
Specialist Note
“Will this 72 mm Marumi polariser help with reflections on water?” Yes—turn it as you look through the camera, and you can find a position that reduces the reflected sheen. The 72 mm size is the key fit detail: your lens needs a matching 72 mm filter thread. Its Slim Fit design keeps the filter’s front profile modest, which is handy when you’re using a wide view; it’s not a promise that every lens will be free of corner shading. For a landscape, try standing with the sun roughly 90° to your side, then rotate the filter to deepen the sky. It suits anyone who wants to shape reflections deliberately, but remember that the effect depends on the light.
