Mcoplus MCO14mm f/3.5 Fujifilm Black

Mcoplus MCO14mm f/3.5 Fujifilm Black | Broad views, hands-on focus

Its ultra-wide 14mm view gives this prime lens a clear purpose: fitting more of a scene into the frame. It’s an interchangeable lens for Fujifilm users who photograph landscapes or architecture and prefer to set focus themselves. In a landscape, the wide view can bring foreground and distant scenery together; for buildings, it helps include more of a façade when you’re working in a confined space. The fixed f/3.5 maximum aperture keeps the lens’s role straightforward: it’s built around a wide view rather than a zoom range. Manual focus asks you to make the focusing decisions, which will suit photographers who like a deliberate approach to composition. If that sounds like your way of working, this Mcoplus offers a focused option for wide-angle scenes.

Working with a 14mm view

With such a wide view, where you stand and what you place near the edge of the frame matter. For a landscape, try including a nearby rock, path or plant to give the scene a stronger sense of depth. For architecture, step back where space allows and check the frame edges before making the picture; a wider composition can include more of the building, but it also gives you more to arrange.
