Nedis BNC-Video Cable | A 5-metre run for video connections

Without a dedicated cable, a video connection can turn into a last-minute search through a drawer of mismatched leads. This Nedis cable is for setups that use a BNC male connection and need a 75-ohm video cable. At 5.00 metres, it gives you some room to place connected equipment apart rather than right beside each other. The cable has a round shape, a PVC covering and a black finish. That’s a straightforward combination for a fixed route around a desk, equipment shelf or room; it isn’t a claim about extra shielding or ruggedness. Its purpose is specific: carrying a video connection over a BNC cable run. If that matches the connection you’re setting up, the length and cable type are easy to assess before you plan where it will go.

Plan the cable route

For a tidy installation, decide where the cable needs to travel before connecting everything. Measure the path it must follow, including the distance around furniture or equipment, rather than measuring only the gap between the two devices. Leave enough slack for the route, but avoid laying a loop where someone could catch a foot or chair on it. A cable that’s stretched tight can be awkward to manage when equipment is moved, so allow a little breathing room at the connection points. The black finish may be less noticeable against dark equipment or furniture. Keep the route clear of sharp edges and places where it could be repeatedly pinched. These small steps make it easier to keep the connection organised once everything is in position.
