Nedis CAT6-CABLE RJ45 Male RJ45 Male S/FTP 5.00m Round LSZH Black Label

Nedis CAT6-CABLE RJ45 Male RJ45 Male S/FTP 5.00m Round LSZH Black Label | A five-metre shielded cable for wired connections

When a wired connection needs to reach across a room, it’s easy to end up with a cable that’s too short or an awkward route across the floor. This Nedis CAT6 cable gives you a five-metre run with an RJ45 male connector at each end, for connecting equipment with matching RJ45 sockets. It’s suited to a home or work setup where a direct cable connection is more practical than relying on a wireless link. The S/FTP designation identifies its screened cable construction, while the round shape is a familiar format to route along a desk or around furniture. Its black finish keeps the cable visually discreet against many dark surfaces; it won’t disappear against a pale wall, so bear that in mind when choosing its path. The LSZH designation is also part of the cable specification. In short, this is a straightforward option when you need a CAT6 cable with matching plugs at both ends and a fixed five-metre length.

Planning the route

Before connecting it, think about the full path between the two devices rather than the straight-line distance. A cable may need to go around a desk, follow a wall or leave enough slack to move equipment for cleaning. Those turns and small allowances use up length, so a quick measure along the route can help you decide whether five metres will reach comfortably. Keep the cable laid where it won’t be regularly stepped on or caught when a chair or drawer moves. This is a simple detail, but it can make a wired setup tidier and easier to live with. The two RJ45 male ends make the connection direct: one end at each device with a matching socket. There’s no need to add a separate connector to either end.
