Nedis CAT7 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 0.25m Snagless Round LSZH Black Label

Nedis CAT7 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 0.25m Snagless Round LSZH Black Label | A short link for nearby sockets

The defining choice is the 0.25 m length: it makes this Nedis CAT7 cable a short link for network sockets that sit close together, rather than a lead for routing across a room. Both ends have male RJ45 connectors, for a direct connection between matching sockets. The cable is round, with a snagless design and an LSZH construction, and it’s black. This suits a compact setup where extra cable would be in the way, or where you need a short replacement lead. CAT7 is the category named for this cable; in practice, the first thing to consider is whether its length suits the space between your connection points. If they’re farther apart, you won’t have much room to route the cable neatly. For a close connection, its deliberately brief length keeps the run simple.

Choosing the right length

Before choosing this cable, look at the route it will actually take, not just the straight-line distance between sockets. A cable may need to pass around an edge or make a turn, and those bends use up some of the available reach. That’s the main trade-off with a very short lead: it can avoid surplus cable in a compact arrangement, but leaves little room for changes in position. I’d use it where the connection points are already close and their placement is settled. If you’re still rearranging your setup, or expect to move either endpoint, a longer cable may be easier to work with. There’s no mystery to this one; getting the measurement right is what makes it a sensible fit.
