Nedis DisplayPort-HDMI-Cable DisplayPort M-HDMI F 0.2m BK

Nedis DisplayPort-HDMI Cable DisplayPort M-HDMI F 0.2m BK | A short link between two connector types

Its defining choice is the 0.2 m length: this cable keeps the connection close to the ports rather than adding a long cable run. One end has a male DisplayPort connector; the other is a female HDMI socket. That layout suits a setup where you need to join those two connector types and already have a cable with an HDMI plug for the socket. It’s a compact way to arrange the connection when a longer lead would be unnecessary. The cable is black, so it’s visually unobtrusive beside dark equipment. The key practical point is its connector arrangement, not the extra reach of a full-length cable. If you’re sorting out a particular setup, map the male DisplayPort end and the female HDMI end to the ports and cable you intend to use. This is a straightforward, short cable for a specific connection arrangement.

At just 20 cm, it’s best considered as a close-range link, not as a way to bridge equipment placed far apart. That can help keep the connection local to the devices, while leaving you to choose a separate HDMI cable for the distance your layout needs. The female HDMI socket is the receiving end for an HDMI plug; the male DisplayPort connector is the plug end. Those details are worth noting before arranging cables, especially if you’re trying to avoid a longer run or an extra loop of cable around a desk. The length also makes placement less flexible than with a longer cable, so it makes most sense when the connected ports are near each other. Its job is specific: a short black cable with DisplayPort male and HDMI female connectors.
