Nedis Notebook-Adapter | 45 W power for notebook use

Without a dedicated notebook adapter, you’re left relying on the power supply that came with the computer. This Nedis notebook adapter is a 45 W option for people who need a separate power supply for a notebook. Its listed DC output voltages are 12, 15 and 20 V, with current ratings of 2.25, 2.33, 2.92 and 3.0 A. Those figures make it especially relevant when you’re looking for an adapter with specific electrical ratings, rather than a general-purpose charger. The honest point is that output ratings alone don’t establish whether it suits a particular notebook. It’s the numbers and the physical connection together that determine fit, so this is best considered against the power requirements of the device you intend to use it with.

Matching the power requirements

When comparing power supplies, start with the notebook’s required input voltage and make sure the adapter offers that rating. The current rating matters too: it needs to meet the device’s requirement. The 45 W figure gives the adapter’s stated power rating, but it shouldn’t be treated as proof that it will work with every notebook. Also compare the plug and any other requirements specified for the computer; the ratings here don’t describe the physical connection. That’s a more reliable way to judge suitability than choosing an adapter from its wattage alone.
