Nedis Optical Audio Cable TosLink M TosLink M 5 M Gevlochten Gun Metal Grey

Nedis Optical Audio Cable TosLink M TosLink M 5 M Gevlochten Gun Metal Grey | A five-metre TosLink audio link

The braided exterior is the defining design choice here: it gives this Nedis optical audio cable a textured finish, rather than a plain smooth look. In Gun Metal Grey, it has a subdued appearance that should sit quietly alongside home audio equipment. The cable has a male TosLink connector at each end and measures 5 metres, so it’s suited to connecting two devices with matching TosLink optical audio connections when they aren’t close together. That makes it a practical option for a room setup where the route between the devices needs some extra reach. Its purpose is specific: carrying audio over an optical TosLink connection. If that’s the connection you need, the two matching ends keep the choice straightforward. The long run is the useful detail; for devices placed side by side, you may not need all five metres.

Choosing the connection

Before choosing an optical cable, the key point is the connection at each end. This one is TosLink to TosLink, with male connectors on both sides. It’s intended for a link between equipment that has those matching optical audio sockets; the cable itself doesn’t change the type of connection your devices use. Measure the route you have in mind, including any extra length needed to reach around furniture, and compare it with the five-metre length. That gives you a simple way to judge whether this run suits your setup. The braided grey finish is a visible detail, while the connector type and length determine where it fits. If both ends of your planned link are TosLink, this cable gives you a single five-metre connection between them.
