Nikon Slip-On Front Lens Cap F/ 16/2.8 10.5DX
Nikon Slip-On Front Lens Cap F/ 16/2.8 10.5DX | Keep your lens covered between uses
Made for the front of Nikon’s 10.5 DX lens, this cap gives that specific lens a straightforward cover between shooting and storage. It suits owners who want to keep the front element covered when the lens is in a bag, on a shelf, or waiting between setups, rather than leave it exposed while moving around. The benefit is simple: a physical cover between the glass and everyday dust or accidental contact during storage. It doesn’t change how the lens renders a scene or handles; it’s there for the moments the lens isn’t being used. Make it part of your routine: take it off before composing, then replace it when you’re done. If your kit includes the Nikon 10.5 DX lens, this is a purpose-specific accessory to keep with it, rather than a general item for the rest of your camera bag. Keeping it close while packing makes it easy to cover the lens as soon as you finish.
Specialist Note
The Nikon Slip-On Front Lens Cap is best at covering the 10.5 DX lens between uses. Its slip-on style is made for a simple job: place it over the lens front for storage, then remove it before you start composing. The 10.5mm f/2.8 DX designation identifies the lens this cap is intended for; those numbers describe the lens, not a feature of the cap. I’d recommend it to Nikon 10.5 DX lens owners who pack their camera away between setups or want the front glass covered on a shelf. One honest point: a cap keeps the glass covered, but it isn’t a cleaning tool—remove dust before putting it back on.
