Nitze 15mm Aluminium Rod (1/2/3 inch) w/ 1/4 Wire (R15-1/4-Kit)
Nitze 15mm Aluminium Rod (1/2/3 inch) w/ 1/4 Wire (R15-1/4-Kit) | A short rod in three lengths
When a tripod setup needs a short rod section, this Nitze accessory gives you three lengths to choose from rather than one fixed size. It’s a tripod accessory made from aluminium, with a 15mm rod and 1/4 wire. The available lengths are 1, 2 and 3 inches, so you can choose the amount of extension that suits the space you have. That makes it relevant to photographers and camera operators working with a setup where a compact rod is more appropriate than a longer piece. The useful thing here is the choice of length: a 1-inch section keeps the extension short, while the 2- and 3-inch options provide progressively more reach. It’s a straightforward piece of hardware, best considered when you know the rod length your arrangement calls for. Keep in mind that the three lengths offer different reach, not different rod diameters.
Key details
- 15mm aluminium rod
- Available in 1, 2 and 3 inch lengths
- 1/4 wire
Choosing a length
For a tight space, the 1-inch length keeps the rod section brief. If your setup needs more distance, consider the 2- or 3-inch version. Choosing by the clearance you need is a simple way to narrow down the options.
Specialist Note
This rod is a neat way to add a measured, short section where a longer piece would take up too much room. The 1-, 2- and 3-inch lengths let you choose that reach deliberately: I’d start with 1 inch when space is especially tight, and move to 2 or 3 inches only when the arrangement needs more separation. Its 15mm diameter gives you a clear size to work around when planning the setup, while the aluminium construction keeps the piece focused on being a rod rather than a bulky support. It suits someone assembling a tripod-related rig who already knows the space available. One thing to bear in mind: length is the choice here, so pick according to the clearance you need.
