Novoflex Modular Goniometer Head 15° Swivel
Novoflex Modular Goniometer Head 15° Swivel | Deliberate tripod framing
Small framing changes on a tripod can be fiddly when you’re trying to line up a precise composition. The Novoflex Modular Goniometer Head 15° Swivel is a tripod head for making that kind of careful adjustment, with a 15° swivel at its core. Its modular design suits photographers who want a head that forms part of a considered tripod setup, rather than choosing a head for broad, general-purpose movement. It’s particularly relevant for precise still photography and for positioning frames when working on a panorama. The benefit is in being able to approach your composition deliberately, instead of nudging the camera and repeatedly correcting by eye. This is a specialist tool: its appeal is the specific swivel and modular format, not a promise of every kind of head movement. If precise tripod framing is the job, those are the details to focus on.
Specialist Note
“Is the 15° swivel useful for careful framing?” Yes—that’s the defining detail here. It gives you a specific angle to work with, which can help when you’re lining up a still image or adjusting the view between frames in a panorama. The modular format is the other point I’d consider: it’s intended for a setup built around components, so it makes most sense when you value that approach rather than simply wanting a broadly described tripod head. I’d look at this Novoflex for measured positioning on a tripod. It’s a focused tool, and its 15° movement is the reason to choose it.
