Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 6x4INCHES 100SH

Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 6x4INCHES 100SH | Photo paper for small prints

When you want a batch of photographs in a compact, consistent size, Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 is a straightforward option to consider. It’s photo paper sold in a 6 x 4 inch format, with 100 sheets in the pack, so the size and quantity are clear from the outset. The product name also identifies it as Ultra Pearl 295; I’d keep that full name to hand when comparing paper for a particular print job. It suits anyone planning prints at this size, from a small selection of favourite images to a larger batch for sharing. The practical appeal is simple: you can choose a defined paper size and a set number of sheets rather than working from a roll. The supplier lists the colour as black, an unusual detail for photo paper, so I’ve kept it as a specification rather than making assumptions about what it describes.

Choosing a print size

For a print job, start with the finished size you want and the number of copies you expect to make. That’s the useful way to assess this pack: it’s intended for photographs in a particular small format, and its sheet count gives you a clear quantity to plan around. If you’re sorting a group of images, it can help to make a shortlist first and decide which ones merit a physical print. You can then judge whether the pack quantity suits your project, instead of buying paper without a clear plan. The honest limit here is that the name alone doesn’t tell you how a particular printer will render an image, so the result will depend on your print setup and the photograph itself.
