PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 Black Mist 95mm Coarse Threaded McKinnon Series
PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 Black Mist 95mm Coarse Threaded McKinnon Series | Control exposure and reflections with a softer highlight look
On a bright day, keeping exposure under control while retaining the look you want can call for more than one filter. This PolarPro combines variable neutral density and polarizing functions with a Black Mist effect, making it suited to photographers and filmmakers who want those controls in a single filter. Its 2–5 stop range lets you reduce incoming light across a useful span, rather than relying on one fixed strength. That’s especially helpful when you want to keep your chosen aperture or shutter speed as the light changes. The 95mm coarse-threaded format is for setups that use that filter size and thread. This McKinnon Series filter is best for outdoor scenes where exposure, reflections and highlight character all matter; it gives you several things to manage without changing filters between shots.
Specialist Note
This filter brings reflection control and a softer highlight character into the same setup. I’d suggest it to a photographer or filmmaker working outdoors around water, glass or bright foliage: use the polarizing function to manage reflections, then let the Black Mist character take the edge off bright highlights in the frame. The coarse-threaded 95mm format matters when choosing it for a filter setup, so match that size and thread to the holder or lens arrangement you use. One honest consideration: a combined filter is less flexible than choosing each effect separately, so it suits a deliberate all-in-one approach more than a modular one.
