PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 - Gold Mist - 82mm-McKinnon Series
PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 - Gold Mist - 82mm-McKinnon Series | Control exposure with a Gold Mist look
Control changing light and give your images a distinct Gold Mist character with the PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 - Gold Mist - 82mm-McKinnon Series. Its VND/PL designation brings variable neutral-density adjustment and polarizing use together, while the 2-5 range gives you room to adjust exposure as conditions change. The Gold Mist treatment adds a creative look, so this is for photographers and filmmakers who want more than exposure control alone. It’s especially suited to daylight video, where managing light matters, and to stills where you want to shape reflections as well as exposure. The 82mm size is a key part of choosing it for a lens setup; the McKinnon Series name identifies the range. If you prefer a strictly neutral filter with no added visual character, this is a more expressive option than you may need. For creators who want both functions and a recognisable look, it brings those aims together in one filter.
Specialist Note
Trying to manage bright conditions and keep a deliberate image style can mean reaching for separate filters; this one brings variable ND and polarizing use together. I’d point it towards daylight video or reflective scenes where you want to adjust exposure while working with reflections, rather than treating the filter as an invisible correction. The 2-5 range gives you a defined span for exposure changes, which is useful when light shifts during a take. Its 82mm size also makes the lens’s filter size central to the decision: choose it for an 82mm setup. The Gold Mist look is part of the appeal, but it won’t suit someone who wants an entirely unaltered rendering.
