PolarPro Portra True Colour PL + White Mist 1/4 - 95mm C
PolarPro Portra True Colour PL + White Mist 1/4 - 95mm C | Control reflections and soften highlights
Reflections become easier to manage, while bright highlights take on a softer edge. This PolarPro filter combines a PL polarizing effect with a 1/4 White Mist effect, giving you two different ways to shape a picture without adding separate filters. It suits photographers and filmmakers who want to control glare and bring a gentler look to scenes with bright light sources. A polarizer can reduce reflections from surfaces such as water or glass, and can deepen a blue sky; the White Mist effect softens the contrast around highlights. Used together, they offer a distinct look, though the result depends on the light and scene in front of you. The 95mm size is for setups that call for that filter diameter. If you want clean, untouched contrast in every situation, the mist effect may not be your preference. For deliberate image shaping, though, this is a considered combination.
Specialist Note
First-time owners sometimes expect a polarizer to remove every reflection; its effect varies with the angle of the light. I’d rotate the PL element while watching reflections on glass or water, then stop where the scene looks right. The 1/4 White Mist adds a softer rendering around bright points, so it can suit evening portraits or a backlit scene when you want highlights to bloom gently rather than look hard. At 95mm, it’s intended for a setup that takes that filter size. One honest consideration: the mist effect stays in the image, so this combination is for a chosen look, not a neutral everyday filter.
