Saramonic FWS113 Foam Windscreen For SR-PMIC2
Saramonic FWS113 Foam Windscreen For SR-PMIC2 | Help reduce wind noise on recordings
Saramonic FWS113 Foam Windscreen For SR-PMIC2 is a foam windscreen for reducing the effect of moving air on microphone recordings. It suits people recording speech who want a simple way to manage wind noise, particularly for interviews, pieces to camera and spoken updates recorded outside. The foam sits over the microphone and helps soften the air hitting it, so voices are less likely to be interrupted by that familiar low rush of wind. It’s a focused accessory rather than a change to your recording setup: use it when wind is a concern, and remove it when you don’t need it. For outdoor speech recording, that straightforward purpose is the point. It’s made for the SR-PMIC2, so it’s a specific match for that microphone rather than a general windscreen to choose by appearance alone.
Specialist Note
People recording outdoor interviews or short presenter pieces will get the most from this small, specific accessory. The foam is there to soften air movement at the microphone; fit the windscreen over the SR-PMIC2 before recording, and it can help keep passing breeze from distracting from speech. I’d consider it for location dialogue or a quick spoken update where wind noise is the main nuisance. One honest limit: foam is a simple form of wind protection, so I wouldn’t expect it to make strong gusts disappear. Its clear advantage is that it’s made for the SR-PMIC2, which keeps the choice uncomplicated if that’s the microphone you use.
