SmallHD Acc-MT-Cstand C-Stand Mount w/ VESA Compatibility
SmallHD Acc-MT-Cstand C-Stand Mount w/ VESA Compatibility | Mount a VESA-compatible display on a C-stand
When a monitor needs a place on a C-stand rather than on a camera, the SmallHD Acc-MT-Cstand gives you a purpose-made mounting option. It’s a tripod accessory designed for C-stand use, with VESA compatibility for displays that use a matching mounting interface. That makes it relevant to production setups where a monitor needs to be positioned for viewing away from the camera operator, such as on a set or in a video village. The key point is the combination in its name: this is a C-stand mount, and it’s intended for VESA-compatible equipment. It isn’t a general-purpose tripod head or a camera support. If your setup calls for a C-stand and the display’s mounting interface is compatible, this accessory offers a direct way to bring the two together. Its value is in that specific job, rather than in adding extra functions.
Specialist Note
A monitor without a suitable mounting point can be awkward to position on a C-stand; this accessory is made to solve that particular problem. I’d consider it for a production monitor that needs to be visible to a director or crew member while the camera remains elsewhere. The C-stand mount gives you the stand-based setup, while VESA compatibility means the display needs to have a matching VESA mounting interface. Those are the two details I’d focus on when planning the rig. It suits crews who already work with C-stands and want to position a compatible display as part of that setup. One limitation is that VESA compatibility alone doesn’t mean every display will fit; the interface has to match.
