SmallRig 3125 Counterweight Kit For RS2/RSC2/Zhiyun Gimbals
SmallRig 3125 Counterweight Kit For RS2/RSC2/Zhiyun Gimbals | Add counterweight to your gimbal setup
Its defining decision is to make counterweight the job of this accessory: it’s a dedicated way to add counterweight when balancing a gimbal setup. The SmallRig 3125 is intended for RS2, RSC2 and Zhiyun gimbals, so it suits operators working with those systems who need a counterweight option as part of their setup. That makes it most relevant when you’re balancing a gimbal and need to address the effect of your mounted camera arrangement, rather than looking for a general-purpose tripod accessory. The idea is straightforward: use a purpose-made gimbal accessory for the counterweight role, instead of treating that need as an unrelated add-on. If you use one of the named gimbal systems, this kit is worth considering when counterweight is part of the balance you’re trying to achieve.
Specialist Note
When a gimbal setup needs counterweight, having a kit dedicated to that job gives you a clear place to start with balancing. The SmallRig 3125 is made for RS2, RSC2 and Zhiyun gimbals, which keeps its purpose focused on those systems rather than making it a catch-all accessory. I’d consider it when you’re setting up one of those gimbals and need counterweight to help address the balance of the mounted setup. It also makes sense when you’re rebuilding a setup and want the counterweight part of the process to have its own purpose-built accessory. One thing to keep in mind: counterweight helps with balance; it doesn’t remove the need to balance the gimbal itself.
