SmallRig 5261 L-Shape Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Fujifilm X-M5 (Sliver)
SmallRig 5261 L-Shape Mount Plate with Wooden Handle for Fujifilm X-M5 (Silver) | More support for handheld video
The wooden handle is the defining choice here: it gives the SmallRig 5261 a distinct handhold for supporting the Fujifilm X-M5 during handheld filming. This is a shoulder rig built around an L-shaped mount plate and a wooden handle, aimed at X-M5 owners who want a more supported way to shoot video. It’s especially suited to handheld work where you’re holding the camera for a stretch, such as recording a presenter or capturing a scene from a fixed standing position. The plate and handle make this a camera-support accessory rather than a video feature or an imaging upgrade. Choose it when a dedicated grip is what your setup needs, and when you want the handle’s wood finish as part of the rig. Its purpose is straightforward: give your hands a defined place to hold while filming with the X-M5.
Specialist Note
People filming interviews, product demonstrations or short documentary scenes with the Fujifilm X-M5 are the ones I’d point toward this rig. The wooden handle gives you a clear, steady place to hold as you frame a shot, while the L-shaped plate forms the camera-support part of the setup. For a seated interview, settle into your filming position and use the handle to support the camera through each take; for a short handheld sequence, keep your grip on the handle as you reframe. It’s a focused accessory, not a stabilizer, so it won’t remove camera movement for you. I’d choose it when a dedicated handhold matters more than keeping the camera bare.
